Research on Citizen Participation with WeMedia and Governance Changes in China

上世纪末以来,自媒体在中国逐渐兴起,公民将其越来越多地应用在公共参与方面,实现着新型的权益表达,显著改变着政治传播格局和政治生态,以自媒体为媒介的公民参与,正重塑治理主体,发掘治理议题,推进开放型决策和执行,促使社会公共行动联结,弥补治理死角,激活基层公共性,促进了国家和社会治理的“大变革”,与此同时,在以自媒体为媒介的公民参与过程中,也存在着诸多问题,影响着治理绩效,需要重视和改进。

Since the 1990s the emergence of WeMedia has provided Chinese citizens with a growing number of approaches of expressing themselves in public. Moreover it has significantly changed the pattern of political communication and political ecology. The citizen participation with WeMedia is reshaping the governance body exploring governance issues promoting open decisionmaking and execution joining social public action improving governance system and activating the grassroots publicity. That promotes the revolution of Chinese social governance. Meanwhile in the process of citizen participation there are also many problems which affect governance performances and need attention and improvement.
