Master Yuexia’s Interpretation of Vimalakirti Sutra According to Huayan School

作为近代华严宗复兴的代表人物,月霞大师在《维摩诘经讲义录》中,除了按照华严宗讲经说法的惯例进行十门分别外,还非常注意引用《华严经》、运用五教判释、摄入华严三观、展现十玄境界,将讲经说法提升为展现华严宗教义教理的思想盛筵。

As the representative of the revival of Huayan School in modern times,Master Yuexia,in his Notes of Interpretation of Vimalakirti Sutra,not only followed the tradition of the Huayan School’s speech of explaining it in ten ways,but also paid great attention to quoting the Avatamsaka Sutra,using the interpretation of five religions,absorbing the three views of Huayan Sect and displaying the ten metaphysical realms,so as to elevate his lectures to the ideological feast of demonstrating Huayan’s religious doctrine.
