“畬”与“畲”的形音义考

A Comparative Study On Shape, Phonetic and Meaning of Yú(畬) and shē(畲)

“畬”与“畲”字形相似,常被混淆。畬和畲均为形声字,声旁分别为余和佘;余与畬、佘与畲分别为古今字关系。“余”“佘”“畬”和“畲”四字在形音义三个方面成复杂的孳衍关系。最早出现的为余字,并由此字通过孳乳或变易的形式辗转而生成后面三个字:由余音转产生佘,二者均有“姓氏”义;“余畬”和“佘畲”都是通过假借或增加偏旁而形成的今增字;“畲”由“畬”讹误或孳乳而成的可能性更大。现代辞书中的音义注释基本能够反映二字各自的特点和功能。但“畬”和“畲”二字释义上存在着混乱现象,要进行必要的甄别。
