摘要
不同于既有会计稳健性影响因素研究大多限于资本市场上投融资关系情境,本文将研究场景设定在我国商品市场中普遍存在的供应商/客户关系型交易模式中,考察关系型交易模式是否会改变企业管理层的信息披露动机,进而影响其会计稳健性。研究表明,供应商/客户关系型交易程度越高,企业会计稳健性水平越低。进一步研究发现,企业外部监督机制如机构投资者持股、证券分析师跟踪及地区法制环境水平能够监督、约束上述供应商/客户关系型交易对会计稳健性的负面影响,表现在供应商/客户关系型交易对会计稳健性的显著负面影响只在外部监督力量较弱的企业中存在。
In this paper,the research setting is set in the supplier/customer relationship transaction that is prevalent in the commodity market.It studies whether the information disclosure motivation of firm’s management is changed by the supplier/customer relationship transaction,and whether the supplier/customer relationship transaction can affect the accounting conservatism.Empirical evidence shows that the higher the level of supplier/customer relationship transaction is,the lower the firm’s accounting conservatism is.Further research shows that external supervision mechanisms,including institutional ownership,analyst coverage and legal environment can effectively restrain the negative influence of supplier/customer relationship transaction on firm’s accounting conservatism.The findings show that the negative impact of supplier/customer relationship transaction on the firm’s accounting conservatism only exists in firms whose external supervision strength is weaker.
