An Analysis of the Collectivism and the All-round Development of People in the New Era

党的十九大报告提出要加强集体主义教育,要促进人的全面发展。澄清集体主义在时下遭遇的污名化,需要准确把握集体主义的“集体”内涵,集体主义和社会主义市场经济的关系,以及极端个人主义存在的局限和危害;在此基础上指出集体主义在实现人的全面发展中的重要价值,即共同体是实现人的全面发展的前提,人类社会的发展进步依靠人类的集体力量,坚持以人民为中心,维护大多数人的利益为实现人的全面发展奠定了基础。

The collectivism education is emphasized in the report of the 19th CPC National Congress to promote the all-round development of people. To clarify the significance of currently stigmatized collectivism, we are expected to make clear the connotation of collectivism, the relation between the collectivism and the socialist market economy, and the limitations and harms of extreme individualism. On this basis, the paper points out the important value of the collectivism in the all-round development of people. It is believed that the community is the premise to realize the all-round development of people, for the development and progress of human society depends on the collective strength of people. Upholding the principle of people first and protecting the interests of the majority lay a foundation for the all-round development of people.
