基于语料库的《秘密花园》汉译本翻译风格研究

A Corpus-based Study of Translation Style of The Secret Garden

本文基于自建《秘密花园》汉译语料库,使用语料库检索工具对李文俊译本和张建平译本在词汇和句子两个层面的基本特征进行数据统计和对比分析,考察两个译本的翻译风格,并分析不同翻译风格对儿童阅读产生的影响。通过对比分析发现:两译本均行文地道流畅、语篇连贯且阅读难度不高,都符合儿童文学作品的风格,适于儿童阅读。相较而言,李译本在叠音词、拟声词和儿化词等词汇运用方面独具优势。张译本用词更为简单,感叹词运用丰富;句子更加简洁;篇幅较短。

Based on the self-built Chinese translation corpus of Secret Garden, this paper uses corpus retrieval tools to make statistical and comparative analysis of the basic features of Li Wen-jun's and Zhang Jian-ping's translations at the lexical and sentence levels, to examine the translation styles of the two translations, and to analyze whether the two translations are suitable for children's reading. It is found that the two versions are fluent, coherent and not difficult to read. In contrast, Li's translation has unique advantages in the use of reduplicated words, onomatopoeia words and children's words. Zhang's translation uses simpler words and uses more exclamations;the sentences are more concise;the length is shorter.
