Argumentation on the Core of ZHANG Ailing’s Novels by Law of Plot Causality——Human Nature

情节是小说的精髓。张爱玲小说经久不衰,不仅与其独特的譬喻、古色古香的雕琢以及绚丽的服饰色彩描绘有关,还依赖于其独特的情节设置。著名学者孙绍振用“情节因果律”来探索小说人物的深层情感,将此应用于张爱玲小说的探索,其情节中的因果性以及因果性的不同呈现方式:情感叠加,因果的两极分化,实用和理性因果寄托于审美因果都可分析出小说中蕴含的核心——人性。

Plot is the essence of the novel. ZHANG Ailing’s novel is loved by most people not only by her unique meta. phor and her vivid description of gorgeous dress color but also on her unique plot setting. SUN Shaozhen, a famous scholar, uses “the Law of Plot Causality” to explore the deep feelings of the characters in the novel. The paper resorts to SUN’s Law of Plot Causality to discuss the deep feelings of the characters in ZHANG Ailing’s novels. The causality in its plot and the different ways of presentation of causality, i.e. emotional superposition, polarization of causality, practical and ra. tional causality depending on aesthetic causality, can analyze the core implicated in the novels--human nature.
