摘要
毁器作为丧葬习俗的重要组成部分,体现了人类对生命和死亡的认识及思考。本文主要依据考古材料对西团山文化的毁器现象进行考证,并进一步探讨其特征和功能,以期对西团山文化丧葬习俗的研究有所裨益。
“Vessel-smashing (breaking grave goods especially pottery wares before burying them with the dead)”,as an important part of the funeral customs,embodied the understanding and meditation of the human beings to life and death.Mainly referring to the archaeological data,this paper examines the “vessel-smashing” behavior of the Xituanshan Culture,and further explores its features and functions,in order to provide helpful opinions for the studies on the funeral customs of Xituanshan Culture.
