社会翻译学视角下的鲁迅小说英译比较——以杨宪益与莱尔英译《祝福》为例

A Comparative Study on English Translations of Lu Xun’s Novel from the Perspective of Socio-Translation Studies by Taking the Translations of Sacrifice by Yang Xianyi and Lyell as Examples

基于布尔迪厄的社会学理论,以杨宪益与莱尔英译的鲁迅小说《祝福》为研究对象,分析不同译者惯习对译者及译本的影响。通过文本细读与分析比较,得出译者惯习会对译者的译本选择、翻译策略、语言表达、文本信息传递及翻译观产生影响的结论。

Based on Bourdieu’s sociological theory, the translations of Lu Xun’s novel Sacrifice by Yang Xianyi and Lyell are studied to find out how different translators’ habits affect the translators and translations. Through close reading and analytic comparison, it finds that translator’s habit has an impact on translator’s text choice, translation strategies, language expression, information presentation and views on translation.
