《红楼梦》记载的大量饮食与日常生活用品,有很多与中外进贡的贡品相同。乌进孝进献的物品,有很多与吉林岁贡的贡品相同;贾府的日用物品,有很多与国外贡品相同。《红楼梦》里贾府诸人对贡品很熟悉,反映了曹家对皇家事务很了解。进贡的物品较少有最新科技产品,是当时清代历史的写照。

The Dream of Red Mansions records a large number of food and daily necessities, many of which are the same as the tributes domestically and abroad. Wu Jinxiao’s gifts are similar to those of Jilin’s annual tributes. The Jias’ daily goods are similar to those of foreign tributes. In The Dream of Red Mansions, the Jias are familiar with tributes, which reflects the familiarity of royal affairs of Cao Xueqin’s family. The tributes rarely have the latest scientific and technological products, which reflecte the history of the Qing Dynasty.
