Xinhai Revolution and Japan: An Investigation on Military Assistance

辛亥革命极大地震动了近邻日本,因此日本迅速展开了对中国的军事援助。然而,由于国内政治体制和社会结构的种种矛盾以及当时国际关系的复杂性,日本的军事援助呈现出相当的矛盾性,国内呈现对官革双方态度和立场的分歧,军事援助的重心反复在二者之间摇摆,因而导致削弱甚至最终失去对中国革命的发言权。

Xinhai Revolution has greatly shocked Japan. And Japan started to offer China military assistance. However, because of the contradiction of political system and the complexity of international relation, Japan’s military assistance presented considerable complexity. Divergence arose between the government and revolutionary party. So, emphasis of military assistance swayed repeatedly between them which causes the weakening and the eventual losing of right to affect Chinese revolutionary.
