“Widespread and Speedy”: Early Concept and Practices of the Communist Party of China’s Publicity through Pictorials(1921-1937)

摘要 中国共产党画报是近代画报史与新闻宣传史研究的交叉领域,然而,前者多关注近代城市商业画报,后者聚焦文字报刊,一批中国共产党画报暂时未能得到充分探讨,文章在广泛搜集史料基础上加以整体性考察。图画的视觉传播特征是中国共产党画报宣传的基本立足,北伐时期从面向大众到面向群众的转变,呈现出阶级路线与画报宣传理念的互动。苏区时期,画报宣传得以充分实践,一方面与多种载体融合,另一方面将观看置于组织模式中,收效“广而速”。画报开辟了中国共产党视觉宣传的先声,是各项政治主张的具体响应。 The early pictorial of the communist party of China is a interdisciplinary study field between the history of revolutionary publicity and pictorial history. However, the former pays more attention to the written journals, while the latter focuses on the commercial pictorial of modern urban cities. A large number of communist pictorial newspapers have yet to be fully discussed, and based on the extensive collection of historical data, this paper makes a holistic investigation. The visual communication feature of the picture was the basic standpoint of the communist party's pictorial, and the transition from mass to citizen in the period of Northern Expedition showed the interaction between the different social classes and the concept of pictorial publicity. During the Period of the Chinese Soviet Republic, pictorial publicity was fully practiced. On the one hand, it was integrated with a variety of carriers, and on the other hand, it put viewing into an organizational mode, which had a "widespread and speedy" effect. The pictorial opened up the communist party's visual publicity, and was a concrete response to each political proposition.
