Xi Jinping’s Important Comments “Governing the Borders and Stabilizing Tibet”:Understanding the Top-lever Design on the Work of Tibet in the New Era

习近平总书记在2013年3月9日参加十二届全国人大一次会议西藏代表团审议时提出“治国必治边、治边先稳藏”。近6年时间内,总书记又针对边疆民族地区特别是西藏工作提出了一系列新论断、新指示,丰富、发展并形成了习近平总书记关于“治边稳藏”的重要论述。“治边稳藏”重要论述是习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想的重要组成部分,是对国际政治斗争经验的深刻总结和新时代复杂国际形势的正确判断,是对中国历史现实的科学研判和边疆治理的因应之策,是中国共产党人对西藏问题认识的历史性飞跃,必将继续推动西藏长足发展和长治久安。

General Secretary Xi Jinping advanced the view of “China’s governance must include governing the border areas;in governing the border areas,stabilizing Tibet is the top priority” in the first session of the 12th National People’s Congress.The Important Comments on “Governing the Borders and Stabilizing Tibet” was further enriched and improved by a plenty of new perspectives and new statements based on borderland-management,especially the management of Tibet,which proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping in Recent Six Years.The important comments on “Governing the Borders and Stabilizing Tibet” is the historic leap of Chinese communists’ cognition about Tibet,which is the profound summary of international political struggles and correct judgment of new international situation,based on the understanding of the past and present of China,aimed to administer the borderland.As an important part of Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era,it will promote the long-term development and lasting political stability of Tibet.
