This paper introduces the problems of mechanical seals in the actual operation of the sewage pump,the key equipment of the production water treatment process in an offshore oilfield.The causes of the problems and the optimization and transformation schemes are emphatically analyzed in order to provide reference for similar equipment in other oilfields.
