布迪厄社会学视角下赤松禅诗译介活动研究

A Bourdieusian Approach on Red Pine’s Zen Poetry Translation

赤松是美国当代重要的中国古典诗歌翻译家,重点译介了中国禅诗。从布迪厄的反思社会学理论出发剖析了赤松诗歌翻译行为的历史文化语境性。赤松的禅诗翻译是其禅修惯习使然,其翻译选材与策略均体现出较为明显的译者风格。禅修惯习指导下的赤松译诗获益于他在翻译与文学场域中建立的丰厚文化与社会资本,提高了译作在美国禅诗翻译场域内的竞争力,并进一步参与了该场域的建构。

Red Pine is one of the most renowned translators of classical Chinese poetry in the United States.Most of his translated works are Zen poems.This paper intends to analyse the historical and cultural context of Red Pine's Zen poetry translation practice in light of Pierre Bourdieu's reflective sociology,and suggests that the translation practice of Red Pine is deeply influenced by his habitus of being a long-time Zen practitioner.His cultural and social capital contributes to the establishment of his status in the field of Zen poetry translation in America and thus to the further construction of the field.
