According to the low survival rate of Pinus tabulaeformis afforestation in Chaoyang area,this paper introduces the main methods and steps of raising seedlings of Pinus tabulaeformis in detail,summarizes the barren hill afforestation technology with its large container seedlings,draws a conclusion that the survival rate and preservation rate of afforestation can be improved,and elaborates on various afforestation technical measures.As an example of combining seedling production with afforestation practice,it provides technical support for the afforestation on difficult sites in semi-arid areas in north China.
