This paper expounds the utilization of disease statistics in hospital scientific research, hospital management, higher-level inspection and investigation, illustrates the importance of disease statistics in hospital work by examples, and analyzes the current situation of disease statistics in a tertiary comprehensive hospital. This paper reveals the problems existing in the statistical quality of diseases in most hospitals at present, and puts forward some countermeasures in view of these problems, expecting hospital managers to attach great importance to the statistical work of hospitals and take pertinent measures to improve the quality of hospital statistics.
