清中叶以来,苏州评弹组织形态的革新是时代变迁和社会变迁的重要见证。行会组织的立与破,归结于评弹市场的分配与占有;评弹改进协会的存与废,则是新生政权文化管理政策改变的反映;体制化评弹团的得与失,更多反映的是社会主义国家新建后的制度探索与困境。可以说,评弹行业的现代化转型在三个阶段的前后更替中得到了充分体现,但转型远未结束,影响至今。
