创办于20世纪40年代的《边疆通讯》,作为蒙藏委员会下设的边疆政教制度研究会创办的政治性综合刊物,其所刊载文章内容紧贴边疆现实情况,汇总了大量边疆时事、学术信息,是当时边疆学术问题交流的重要平台之一。在大量的文章中,关于西康地区的研究不少,涵盖西康地区边疆民族、政治、经济、社会、教育、文化等方面。其内容不仅为当时对西康地区的边疆学术研究、边疆治理作了有益的探索,也为当今研究中国边疆史、边疆民族现实问题提供了珍贵的史料和借鉴意义。

Founded in the 1940s, Frontier Newsletter , as a political comprehensive publication of the Research Association of Frontier Political and Religious Systems under the Mongolian-Tibetan Commission, contains articles closely related to the reality of the frontier and collects a large number of frontier current affairs and academic information, which is one of the important platforms for academic exchanges in the frontier at that time. Among the articles in this publication, there are many studies related to ethnics, politics, economy, society, education, culture and other aspects, which makes a useful exploration for the academic research and governance of the frontier in Xikang area at that time, also provides precious historical materials and reference significance for the study of the history of China's frontier and the realistic problems of the frontier nationalities.
