A Second Study on "Yue ri"

“月日”是汉语时间单位词,表示一个月的时间。文章在过去研究的基础上,进一步拓展对“月日”使用的区域、出现的格式的认识,并结合共时和历时的材料推测它可能源于古吴湘语。首先,新收集到的材料拓展了“月日”共时分布区域的认知。其次,综合新旧材料,理清不同方言(语言)“月日”出现的格式,发现共时空间分布的状况反映了历时的演变轨迹。再次,利用民族史和汉语古方言的材料,对“月日”的共时分布予以解释,推测其有共同的源头,即古吴湘方言。这些讨论有助于在词汇层面上加深人们对吴湘闽语关系的认识,有助于拓宽苗瑶语学界对瑶畲语借词的借源的认知。

The "yue ri" is a Chinese time unit word that represents one month. On the basis of past research,the article further expands the understanding of the region and format of the "yue ri",and combines the synchronic and diachronic materials to speculate that it may originate from the ancient Wu Xiang language. Firstly,the newly collected material expands the understanding of the synchronic distribution of the "yue ri". Secondly,by integrating the old and new materials,the patterns of the appearance of the "yue ri" in different dialects (languages) were clarified,and the synchronic spatial distribution was found to reflect the diachronic evolution trajectory. Thirdly,using the materials of ethnic history and ancient Chinese dialects,the synchronic distribution of the "yue ri" is explained,and the common source is speculated,that is,the ancient Wu Xiang dialect. These discussions are helpful to deepen people's understanding of Wu,Xiang and Min languages at the lexical level and to broaden the understanding of Miao and Yao loanwords from Yao and She languages.
