从公共图书馆基本职能的角度入手探讨公共图书馆的发展方向。通过分析阐释公共图书馆基本职能的地位和重要作用,并基于对时代背景和信息环境的思考,从馆藏体系建设、文献保障策略、基础业务精进、文献信息加工方法创新和序化馆藏知识能量的科学衡量等方面提出切实可行的公共图书馆基本职能拓展途径,为其可持续发展提供新的理论思路和操作模式。

This paper probes into the future trend of public libraries from the perspective of their basic functions.Through analysis and interpretation of the position and the important role of the basic functions of the public library, based on the thinking of the age and the information environment, this paper puts forward feasible ways to raise the basic functions of the public library to its proper height from five aspects: the construction of the collection system, the security strategy of document resources, the improvement of the basic professional work, the innovation of the document information processing method and the scientific assessing of the knowledge power from the ordered collection, so as to provide new theoretical ideas and operational modes for its sustainable development.
