世界社会主义诞生已有500余年,社会主义运动在20世纪走向高潮又跌入低谷,在21世纪迎来复兴的历史机遇,这将深刻影响和改变人类历史进程。在新世纪,世界社会主义的发展道路和形式是各具民族特色的、多样的,推动生产力发展是现实社会主义的首要任务,社会主义政党和左翼力量坚持人民立场关系到世界社会主义事业的兴衰成败。与此同时,处于资本主义世界体系不同位置的社会主义政党和左翼力量必须正确处理好社会主义与资本主义的关系,才能赢得发展的空间与机遇。当前,世界范围内资本主义与社会主义两种意识形态、两种社会制度的历史演进正在发生有利于马克思主义、社会主义的深刻转变,紧跟时代发展和变革的步伐,21世纪世界社会主义必然不断壮大和持续发展。

In the 21st century, it will usher in a historical opportunity of revival, which will profoundly influence and change the course of human history. In the new century, the development path and form of world socialism are various with national characteristics. Promoting the development of productive forces is the primary task of realistic socialism. Whether socialist political parties and left-wing forces adhere to the stand of the people is related to the success or failure of the socialist cause in the world. At the same time, the socialist political parties and left-wing forces in different positions of the capitalist world system must properly handle the relationship between socialism and capitalism in order to win the space and opportunities for development. At present, the historical evolution of capitalism and socialism in the world is undergoing profound changes in favor of Marxism and socialism. In keeping with the pace of development and change of the times, world socialism in the 21st century will inevitably continue to grow and develop.
