Long Barrel Coring Technology for Urikhtau Oil Field in Kazakhstan

哈萨克斯坦乌里赫套区块大规模勘探需要一种高效的取心技术提供支持,在研究了区域地质条件的前提下,研究了一种新型大直径取心工具并对取心钻头进行了优化改进,成功进行了多井次取心施工,单筒取心进尺达27米,极大地缩短了钻井周期,降低了钻井成本,应用效果优良。

Large-scale exploration in Urikhtau oil field in Kazakhstan requires an efficient coring technology to provide support. On basis of studying regional geological conditions, a new type of large diameter coring tool was studied, and the coring bit was optimized and improved. Coring operation of several wells was successfully carried out. The single-barrel coring footage reached 27 meters, which greatly shortened the drilling cycle and reduced the drilling cost. So the overall performance of this coring technology is good.
