模因论审视下的“总动员”动画电影片名翻译

Translation of Animated Movie Title with “Zong Dong Yuan” from the Perspective of Memetics

本文以模因论的视角对译名冠以"总动员"的英语动画电影进行翻译审视。强势模因"总动员"在宣传推广动画电影时起着重要作用,但动画电影片名的翻译不应盲目跟风、反复套用强势模因,而应结合实际灵活使用翻译策略,有效传递动画电影片名的商业功能、信息功能、美学功能、教育功能的有效传递。

This paper surveys the Chinese versions of English animated movies entitled with“Zong Dong Yuan”from the perspective of Memetics.As a strong meme,“Zong Dong Yuan”has played an important role in popularizing and promoting animated movies.However,one cannot follow suit blindly and use some strong memes indiscriminately in the translation of animated movie titles.Instead,one needs to apply translation strategies according to practical needs flexibly,so as to convey commercial function,information function,aesthetic function and educational function of animated movies effectively.
