There are many kinds of parasitic folk songs in vernacular short novels in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and their distribution also has certain rules.Generally speaking, they are mainly concentrated in the south and most of the folk songs belong to Wu area. This has something to do with the fact that most of the authors live in the areas of south of the Chang Jiang River and people love Wu songs. The regionalism of folk songs in the novel is manifested in the regional language and the description of regional events and regional landscapes and becomes an important part of the regional narration. With different regional characteristics, the folk songs in the region have their specific characteristics.Due to Wu Yue's regional characteristics,Wu songs like to express personal feelings and ridicule people. The novelists' regional identity of Wu area,to a certain extent, led to the localization of folk songs of other areas.
