The principle and technical characteristics of screw expansion engine was introduced briefly. According to the situation of converter residual steam recovery in Tonggang, a screw expansion generator set was built using existing residual steam source. The investment recovery period will be about 2 years when the equipment operating time is 4000h and the electricity price is 0.6 yuan/kWh. Without affecting the company's steam balance, it could reduce energy consumption and achieve cleaner production purpose. Good environmental and social benefits were achieved.
