水利水电英语显化翻译研究

Translation of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Texts Based on Explicitation Theory

运用显化理论,选取水利水电英语作为研究对象,从语义显化和句法显化层面对原文和译文进行翻译层面的对比分析,以期为水利水电文本的翻译提供借鉴。研究发现,由于英汉两种语言的内在差异,要实现译文与原文在本质上的对等,在翻译过程中采取明示化手段十分必要。

By way of employing water conservancy and hydropower English as the research object,this paper compares the original language and its translated version in terms of translation from such aspects as semantic explicitation and syntactic explicitation,hoping to provide references for the translation of other water conservancy and hydropower texts.It is found that,due to the intrinsic differences between English and Chinese language,it is highly necessary to adopt the expliciation approach in the translation process so as to realize the actual equivalence of the source text and the target text.
