Objective To explore the application value of PDCA circulation management in peripherally inserted central catheters(PICC). Methods From January to December 2016, 130 PICC patients received routine nursing before PDCA cycle management. From January to December 2017, 140 patients with PICC received PDCA circulation management. The catheter indwelling time, infection and non-infection complications, and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results In the PDCA management group, catheter retention time was(132.67±22.34)days, satisfaction rate of nursing was 98.57%,which were higher than those of routine nursing group(106.35±18.34)days and 92.31%(P<0.05). The complications of infection was 1.42%, non-infectious complications was 2.14%, which were lower than those of the routine nursing group 6.92% and 9.23%(P <0.05). Conclusion PDCA nursing management for PICC catheter patients can not only reduce the occurrence of complications, but also prolong the catheter indwelling time to a certain extent and improve patient satisfaction.
