《素食主义者》的叙述声音解读

韩国小说家韩江的代表作《素食主义者》曾获得2016年布克国际文学奖,是作者“怀抱痛苦”创作的一部小说。该作品从四个不同人物的视角,讲述了主人公——传统韩国女性英惠遭受父权社会残暴无情的压迫,由一个梦引发成为素食主义者后身患极度厌食症和精神分裂症,直至最后疯狂幻想变成一棵树的故事。根据女性主义叙事学理论分析《素食主义者》中典型的叙述声音,即个人叙述型声音和作者叙述型声音,挖掘出英惠疯狂梦想变成一棵树背后的原因,深刻揭示了社会传统压抑下女性的悲惨生活状况。

Korean novelist Han Kang′s excellent representative work Vegetarian won the Man Booker International Prize of 2016 and is also a novel written by the author with pain.Through four different perspectives,the novel tells the story of the heroine named Ying Hui,who is a traditional Korean woman treated tyrannically by patriarchy.She becomes a vegetarian because of a weird dream,then suffers from extreme anorexia and schizophrenia and in the end crazily dreams to be a tree.According to feminist narratology,an analysis if made about the narrative voice in Vegetarian,that is to say,the individual narrative voice and the author′s narrative voice in the novel so as to explore the reasons why Ying Hui crazily wants to turn into a tree,and profoundly reveal the tragic life of women under the suppression of social traditions.
