Objective To discuss the application effect of oral exercise intervention in oral feeding of premature infants. Methods To select 80 cases of premature infants who were admitted to our hospital from June 2017 to June 2018 as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into observation group and control group with the same number of cases by random number table. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was applied with oral cavity exercise intervention on this basis. We compared the feeding efficiency, feeding process and body mass recovery of the two groups. Results The hospitalization time, initial oral feeding gestational age, feeding transition time, tube feeding time, and complete oral feeding gestational age in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant( P <0.05). The initial oral feeding efficiency and complete oral feeding efficiency of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant( P <0.05). The time of recovery of birth weight in the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the body mass at discharge from the hospital was bigger than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant( P <0.05). Conclusion Oral exercise intervention can help improve the oral feeding process and oral feeding efficiency of premature infants and promote the recovery of body mass among these infants.
