高等院校英语教学影响着大学生文化价值观的形成。英语翻译教学能够培养语言技能,锻炼思维方式,提高综合素质。目前英语翻译教学受重视程度不够,在英语教学中要加强文化活动设计,引导学生客观分析东西方文化差异与联系,强化学生批判式思维能力训练,灵活运用教学方式方法,多层面多角度推动大学生文化自觉意识的培养。

English learning helps largely with formation of cultural values for college students, while translation teaching may improve their linguistic skills, way of thinking and all-round qualities. Likewise, it is wise of college English teachers to apply cultural elements in their English class designing, analyze differences between Chinese and western cultures, develop a critical thinking and improve dimensions of English teaching methodologies to enhance their cultural awareness.
