云管平台裸金属分布式PXE服务

Bare Metal Distributed PXE Service for Cloud Tube Platform

由于业务需要,云管平台不仅要管理虚拟机,而且要管理裸金属物理机。一般情况下,通过IPMI和PXE安装裸金属物理机的电源和系统。传统裸金属管理一般在一个二层网络中启动一个PXE服务器,为所有裸金属物理机提供服务,存在性能瓶颈和单点故障。基于此,提出了一种新的PXE服务架构,通过分离PXE服务器的IP分配服务和文件传输服务,实现分布式PXE服务器部署架构,可满足云管平台的需求,能解决性能瓶颈,避免单点故障。

Due to business needs, cloud tube platform not only manages virtual machines, but also bare metal physical machines. Generally, the power supply and system of bare metal physical machine are installed through IPMI and PXE. Traditional bare metal management usually starts a PXE server in a two-tier network to provide services for all bare metal physical machines, which has performance bottlenecks and single point failures. Based on this, a new PXE service architecture is proposed. By separating the IP distribution service and file transfer service of PXE server, the distributed PXE server deployment architecture can meet the needs of cloud management platform, solve the performance bottleneck and avoid single point of failure.
