Objective To compare the influence of two anesthesia machine internal disinfection methods on positive bacterial detection rate and respiratory infection rate of anesthesia machine. Methods 150 cases of patients undergoing anesthesia surgery in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups, with 75 cases in each group. The experimental group used disinfection machine for disinfection, while the traditional group was soaked and rinsed with chlorine-containing disinfectant. Samples were taken at the respiratory circuit before disinfection, before use and 3 days after use. The positive bacterial detection rate was calculated. The respiratory infection rates of two groups were statistically analyzed. Results Before disinfection and at 3 days after use, no statistical difference was found in the contamination rates of anesthesia machine between the two groups(P >0.05). At 3 days after use, the positive bacterial detection rate of the experimental group was 10.5%, lower than 19.1% of the traditional group(P <0.05). The lung infection rate of the experimental group was3.8%, had no statistical difference with 5.3% of the traditional group(P >0.05). Conclusions Disinfection machine and chlorine-containing disinfectant for anesthesia machine have the similar curative effects in the prevention of respiratory infection, but the former can more effectively reduce the positive bacterial detection rate in anesthesia machine, with better disinfection effect.
