The Future of Translation Technology: Cloud Moving and Modality Diversifying

作为国家翻译生产实践的引擎,翻译技术在国际对外交往、先进技术引进、政治话语宣传、经济贸易往来、文化对外传播等方面具有重要作用。出于上述需求,本文从范式演变、要素析解、原理探微、技术革新等视角探讨翻译技术,特别是以辅译软件和机译系统为代表的翻译技术的现存问题,主要包括翻译模态单一、单机协同困难、用户体验不佳。针对此类问题提出三维解决方案,即云端翻译技术的模态多元共现、作业实时同步、用户体验升级。

As the engine of national translation practices,translation technology plays an important role in such affairs as international external contacts,advanced technology introduction,political discourse publicity,outbound economic and trade affairs and outward cultural exchanges.Out of these necessities,this paper unveils the extant problems mainly comprising limited translation modality,stand-alone dyssynergia and unsatisfied user experience of translation technology,as typified by computer-aided translation and machine translation,via a backflash of its paradigm shifts,elements analysis,theory exploration,and technology innovation.Its cloud-based future of multimodality coexisting,operation synchronizing,and user experience upgrading are prospected.
