李叔同的出家,并非如前人所说是为了其个人的修为与发展,更不是普通意义上的看破红尘、遁入空门,而是深思熟虑后的一种决断,其目的是希望通过自己的努力和人格构建,去恢复佛教正统,并用佛教去填补中国文化“宗教缺失”的空白;以“献身说法”的方式,唤起人的觉醒,倡导人性回归,并从中寻找出一条救国救民、拯救文化的“救国之道”。爱国、救国、报国,是李叔同最大的人生价值所在。李叔同将他的“悲欣交集”留在了世间,是要告诉人们人的价值,人的成功,是来之不易的;生命存在的状态,是可以优美的。中国的文化、中国的众生,虽有着各种各样的坎坷、艰难与困苦,但仍然无限美好和充满希望。李叔同的一生,为世人构建和展示了一种“风姿绰约的美”,向世人传递着一种生命存在的力量和希望。

Li Shutong' s decision to become a monk was not for his own cultivation and development as being said by our predecessors and his being disillusioned with the mortal world in common sense, but a determination after careful consideration. His ambition was to recover the orthodoxy of Buddhism and to fill up the religious vacancy in Buddhism through his own efforts and personality construction;he wanted to awaken the Chinese people and promote the return of humanity by dedicating his own view and found a path to save the nation, the people and the culture. What the most valuable for Li Shutong' s life was his love of the country, his effort to save the nation and his dedication to serve the state. Why Li Shutong left his idea of "a mixture of sorrow and joy" in the world was to tell the people that: it was not easy for people to achieve their own values and success in their lives;and the status of being alive might be elegant. Although there was various roughness, hardship and difficulty in ones' lives, Chinese culture and public were still beautiful and brilliant in the future. The life of Li Shutong had constructed and demonstrated a kind of charming beauty and conveyed the strength and hope of being alive to the common people.
