苏联驻德军事卫戍机构附属于苏驻德军政府,于1945年7-8月成立,一直存在到1948年11月。之后,苏联驻德军事卫戍机构的功能移交给苏驻德军政府的军事部门。苏联驻德军事卫戍机构工作涉及范围之广,使其实际上成为二战后苏驻德军政府为解决德国军事和经济等问题的主要执行机构,并在建立战后德国政治、经济和社会新秩序,缓和苏联占领军同德国居民之间的矛盾等方面发挥了重大作用。但是,冷战的爆发又使苏联驻德军事卫戍机构不可避免地沦为莫斯科实现自身利益的工具。

The Soviet Union guard organization established from July to August in 1945 until to November in 1948. This organization was affiliated to the Soviet Union garrison administration in Germany. After that time, the main duties and responsibilities of the Soviet Union guard organization handed over to the military department of the Soviet Union garrison administration in Germany. Asa wide administration range of the Soviet Union guard organization, it became the main executing agency in military and economic domains in Germany after World War II. This organization played a major role in establishing new political, economic and social orders in Germany after postwar, it eased contradictions between the Soviet occupation forces and German too. However, as the outbreak of the Cold War, this organization became inevitably the tools to realized their own interests of the Soviet union.
