童谣翻译的损失与补偿研究

Loss and Compensation of Nursery Rhymes Translation

随着国际文化交流的日益密切,大量英语童谣进入国内。通过对市场上英语童谣及其中文译本的对比研究可以发现,当前的英语童谣翻译存在语言和文化两方面损失,其中语言方面包括音乐性损失和词汇性损失,文化方面包括历史文化损失和宗教文化损失。语言损失可以采用换韵、换词等方法进行补偿;文化损失可以运用加注、阐释等手段进行补偿。

A large number of English nursery rhymes have been introduced into China as the intercultural communication has been increasingly promoted.However,there exist two aspects of loss in the translation of English nursery rhymes,that is,linguistic loss and culture loss.The linguistic loss consists of musical and lexical loss which can be compensated by way of rhyme shifting or vocabulary changing;while the culture loss involves historical and religious information loss that may be compensated by means of explanatory translation or adding footnotes.
