Contemporary "Shakespeare Plus" :A Review of Shakespeare and Ecocritical Theory and Shakespeare and Ecofeminist Theory

莎士比亚评论在进入21世纪之后出现了一个比较明显的新趋势,其成就主要通过“莎士比亚+”(即“莎士比亚+理论”)的形式来展示,世界主要学术出版机构近年来推出的多种相关论著系列,集中体现了这一新的趋势。本文在综述这一趋势的基础上,以两部较新近的莎士比亚评论著作为案例,分析了生态主义理论和生态女性主义理论莎评的成就与不足,也指出了这一趋势对更广泛的文学研究的意义。

Entering the 21st century,Shakespeare criticism takes on a new trend in demonstrating its achievements mainly through "Shakespeare Plus"(Shakespeare and theory)monographs or essay collections.After an overview of this new trend,the author focuses critical attention on two cases of them:respectively ecocriticism and ecofeminist criticism in Shakespeare criticism.The author analyses the critical strategy applied by both theories to the study of Shakespeare and comments on their contributions to Shakespeare criticism in general,while pointing out places,or limitations,that call for critical awareness.
