二语词汇水平对汉英双语者词汇通达中一语自动激活的影响研究

The influence of L2 lexical proficiency on the L1 automatic activation during L2 lexical processing of Chinese-English bilinguals

本研究考察二语词汇水平对汉英双语者词汇加工过程中一语自动激活的影响。我们利用词汇知识量表(VKS)测试受试的词汇水平,并将其分为词汇高、低水平组,通过完成在线语义相关性判断任务,考察两组受试词汇加工的反应时和正确率与对译词重复性及语义相关性之间的关系。结果显示,词汇高、低水平组二语词汇通达中均出现一语自动激活,在判断语义相关词对时,一语对译词重复对词汇加工具有促进作用;在判断语义无关词对时,一语对译词重复具有干扰性,反应时结果显示,词汇高水平组比低水平组受到的干扰性更强。

This study aimed to investigate the influence of L2 lexical proficiency on the LI automatic activation during the L2 lexical processing of Chinese-English bilinguals. Two groups of participants, representing high lexical proficiency and low lexical proficiency were chosen according to the results of VKS vocabulary test. An on-line RT experiment was conducted to explore the relations among lexical proficiency, repetition in LI translation and semantic-relatedness. The result showed that there was LI automatic activation in L2 lexical processing in both groups. The repetition in LI translation facilitated L2 lexical processing when the two words were semantically related, but inhibited L2 lexical processing when they were semantically unrelated. Such inhibitory effect was more significant when the RTs of high lexical proficiency learners were considered.
