清末学部编译图书局教科书编审活动述论

On the Textbook Editing and Reviewing Activities of the Book-Compiling Bureau of Educational Ministry in Late Qing Dynasty

清末“新学制”颁布与新学堂的建立,新式教科书的编写引起了社会的广泛关注。学部编译图书局编辑了大量中小学及师范教育教科书,适应立宪运动中国民教育思潮的要求,组织编辑社会教育教科书,并主动参与国外教科书的翻译出版。在后期的活动中,其工作重心转向对民间自编及国外翻译教科书进行审定。学部编译图书局教科书编审活动对于近现代教育的发展具有积极意义。

In the late Qing Dynasty,the promulgation of the new school system and the establishment of the new school,the compilation of the new textbooks caused widespread concern in the society.The Book-compiling Bureau of Educational Ministry compiled a large number of textbooks for primary and secondary schools and teachers' education,adapted to the demands of the trend of thought of national education in the constitutionalism movement,organized and edited social education textbooks,and took the initiative to participate in the translation and publication of foreign textbooks.In the later stage of the activities,the focus of its work turned to the examination and approval of the folk self-edited and foreign translated textbooks.The textbook editing and reviewing activities of the Book-Compiling Bureau of Educational Ministry are of positive significance to the development of modern education.
