We are delighted to present the special section of Journal of Computer Science and Technology on"Spatio-Temporal Big Data Analytics".The fast development of mobile Internet has given rise to an extremely large volume of spatio-temporal data.These data contain rich information of both individuals and groups,and are thus invaluable for traffic control,route planning,urban planning and many other intelligent applications.Spatio-temporal big data analytics deals with the management and makes sense of large amount of spatio-temporal data that provides actionable insights at the right time.
