The British undergraduate tutor system has always been known for its high quality. This article is divided into four sections. First of all, it traces the source of the British tutor system and analyzes the British tutor system today. Secondly, it expounds the rules and characteristics of the undergraduate tutor system of Plymouth University. Thirdly, it reviews the implementation of the tutor system in China during the Republic of China and the current situation of the implementation of the undergraduate tutor system in China. Finally, it explains the similarities and differences between the undergraduate tutor system of Plymouth University and the undergraduate tutor system in China and the enlightenment to the Chinese undergraduate tutor system. Through the undergraduate tutor system implemented by the University of Plymouth, we can see the undergraduate education in China, promote the thinking and enlightenment of the introduction and development of the undergraduate tutor system in contemporary China, thus promoting Chinese education.
