党政话语中模糊限制语的语用阐释——基于十九大报告汉英版本的对比研究

A Pragmatic Interpretation of Hedges in Party Politics Discourses——A Comparative Study of the Chinese and English Version of the 19th National Congress Report

党政话语是基于对政治、政策、事实的全面分析而做出的表述,语言要求严谨、准确、真实,但模糊限制语作为自然语言的一个内在属性并非政治语篇的禁区,不仅使用频繁,而且对主旨表达具有明显的积极意义。以批评话语分析理论为指导,对十九大报告汉英版本中的模糊限制语的汉英表征进行对比分析,发现中央编译局在模糊限制语的翻译上进行了多种技巧化处理,主要有在尽可能礼貌、严谨、周密的前提下,根据具体内容采用不同的操作规范,以对等翻译为主,以省译和增译为辅,展示出了独立自主、求同存异、积极向上、和平发展的国家形象。

The presentation of party politics discourse is based on the comprehensive analysis of national politics,policies and facts,and requires the language to be rigorous,accurate and authentic.However,as an intrinsic attribute of natural language,the hedge is not the restricted area in political discourse.They are not only frequently used in party politics discourse,but also have positive significance for the expression of the theme.Based on the theory of critical discourse analysis,a comparative analysis of the Chinese and English representations of hedges in the Chinese and English version of the 19th National Congress Report has found that the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau have adopted various techniques in translating hedges on the premise of being as polite,rigorous and thorough as possible,and adopting different operational norms according to specific content to achieve equivalent translation,supplemented by omission and adding translation,to present the national image of independence,seeking common ground while reserving differences,and developing actively and peacefully.
