“以学生为中心”的教育理念是21世纪世界高等教育理念的新视角和新模式。美国佩拉尔塔社区学院“以学生为中心”教学理念的落实主要体现在思想意识与具体措施两个方面。佩拉尔塔社区学院的宗旨是帮助学生在自己的领域中取得不同程度的成就,学生既是学校的服务主体,又是学校的主人。具体举措有:便捷的校园位置、宽松的入学条件、全面而细致的校园服务、及时到位的财政资助、有针对性的课程设置、良好的教师素质、实用性的硬件设施。佩拉尔塔社区学院“以学生为中心”的经验与做法能够给中国的职业教育提供借鉴,让中国的高等职业教育登上新的高度。

Student-centered educational idea is an idea of the world contemporary higher education in the 21 century. The Student-centered education reform has a profound influence on China's higher education. How to put this educational idea into practice becomes the focus of present stage. After three-month empirical study of Peralta Community College in California, Student-centered idea was found to be fully implemented. Therefore, Peralta Community College is taken as an example to explain the implementation of student-centered educational idea in American community college from location, entrance, services, financial aids, curriculum, teachers and infrastructures, in order to provide some references for higher vocational education in China.
