摘要
作为莫言文学作品的首席翻译,葛浩文为中国文学走向世界做出了巨大贡献。葛浩文在译介莫言小说的过程中,从译文的可读性和接受度出发,通过个性化翻译、误译与漏译以及节译等方式对部分语言进行了有意识的变通处理。拟借助文学翻译中的创造性叛逆视角,以《红高粱家族》的葛浩文英译本为个案研究对象,通过对源文本和目标文本做双语平行文本对比,探讨译者行为中的创造性叛逆。
As the chief translator of Mo Yan’s works,Howard Goldblatt has contributed tremendously to introducing Chinese literature to the whole world. In the process of translating Mo Yan’s novels, he takes into consideration the readability and acceptance of his translations,and makes certain conscious modifications to the source text through a variety of strategies including individualized translation,deliberate mistranslation and deletion,as well as abridged translation.From the perspective of creative treason in literary translation,this paper explores Goldblatt‘s English translation of Mo Yan’s novel Red Sorghum by making comparison between the source text and the target text.
