区分即融合:西方“边境区”概念的学术史梳理

DISTINCTION IS FUSION: HISTORY OF “BORDER REGIONS” IN THE WESTERN ACADEMIA

作为现代国家关系之下的一个分析概念,"边境区"一词的发展主要经历了作为潜在概念的阶段、概念的正式提出、概念的普及与深化这样三个时期。"边境区"一词的出现和普及代表了西方学术界关于国界和边疆等问题的研究视野的重要转向:它既是对在这些研究领域中所盛行"国家中心主义"理念的批判和反思,也是对全球化之于国界和边疆所造成的冲击的重要回应,亦是对发生于世界各地的各种跨境互动与合作的理论分析;既意味着对传统空间理念的理论重构,也意味着对于新的权力结构的学术关注。

As an analytical concept under modern state relations, the development of the term "border regions" have experienced three phases, e.g. as a potential concept, formal presentation of the concept, and popularization and deepening of the concept. The popularization and deepening of "border regions" represents important research turn of border and frontier in Western academia,which is critique and reflection about "state-centrism", border and frontier in the era of Globalization,and the phenomenon of cross-border interaction and cooperation. It means theoretical reconstruction of the traditional space concept, and the academic attention to the new power structure.
