Objective To discuss the application effect of γ globulin shock therapy in children with high fever in department of pediatrics. Methods A total of 60 children with persistent high fever were randomly divided into γ globulin group and control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received symptomatic supportive treatment of traditional fever abatement, antiviral therapy and fluid replacement, and γ globulin group received continuous γ globulin shock therapy on the basis of the control group. Observation and comparison were made on fever abatement time, recovery time, hospitalization time, and occurrence of adverse drug reactions between the two groups. Results γ globulin group had obviously shorter fever abatement time, recovery time and hospitalization time respectively as(4.11±0.65),(5.96±1.66) and(9.61±1.20) d than(6.74±1.02),(11.99±1.52) and(12.30±1.41) d in control group, and their difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).γ globulin group had 1 case of allergic reactions, and the control group had no case of allergic reactions. There was no statistically significant difference in incidence of adverse drug reactions between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion Adjuvant application of γ globulin impulse therapy based on children with high fever in department of pediatrics can shorten the course of disease, accelerate fever abatement, and promote the recovery of the disease as soon as possible.
