摘要
英国当代作家尼尔·盖曼的成长小说《坟场之书》具有典型的互文本特征。盖曼通过引用、移置、戏拟、仿作等互文写作策略建立起现文本与类别丰富的前文本的话语间连结,同时融入作家独特的审美趣味和价值判断,构建出意义丰富的互文化空间。小说模仿《丛林之书》的文本框架,戏拟经典小说和民间传奇中的原型人物并进行颠覆性重塑,利用历时互文的方法加深作品的历史维度,指涉作家本人前作,极大延展了文本的意义,实现了文学传统的继承和自我表达的创新。
The bildungsroman The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman is a work of rich intertextuality.Extensive allusion,parody,displacement and imitation were employed to achieve connection with multiple texts.The structural framework of this novel was borrowed from literary classics and important figures were parodied by subverting famous archetypes while Gaiman’s unique aesthetics and value judgment were instilled.With the allusion to folklores and reference to Gaiman’s earlier works,the network of meaning for the text was significantly extended,its historical dimension was constructed though chronological intertext,literary tradition was inherited,and the author’s self-expression was successfully innovated.
