摘要
作为美国第一个具有博士学位授予资格的设计学院及全美最大的具有设计专业研究生教学资格的全日制学院,芝加哥设计学院(IIT,ID)的研究生教育体系独具特色,并且在全球设计教育界享有盛誉。芝加哥设计学院跨界设计的教育理念强调通过人才培养类型的多层次性、课程设置的跨学科性、师资力量的多学科背景拓宽设计维度,创新学术视野;批判性思维的培养理念通过召开高端学术会议、突出设计研究的教学重点和开展工作室小班制的互动模式,来培养学生的创造性、技术性和社会性思维,不断挑战设计的边界;以人为本的设计理念立足设计项目,用职业导向贯穿产学研的合作,发挥以人为本在设计及设计教育中的建构作用,推动设计与生活的有机整合,注重设计与生活的全面融通。这为我国设计教育提供了有益的借鉴。
As the first design school in the United States with the qualification of awarding doctoral degree and the largest full-time college with the qualification of graduate teachi ng of desig n major in the United States, the graduate educatio n system of IIT institute of design has its own characteristics and enjoys a high reputation in the global design education circle. The educational concept of cross-disciplinary design of IIT institute of design emphasizes broadening the design dimension and innovating the academic vision through the multi-level of tale nt training types, the interdisciplinary nature of the curriculum and the multi-disciplinary background of the faculty. The cultivation idea of critical thinking is to train students' creative, technical and social thinking and constantly challenge the boundaries of design by holding high-end academic conferences, highlighting the teaching focus of design research and developing the interactive mode of small-class studio system. The people-oriented design concept is based on the design project, with the occupation guidanee throughout the industry-university-research cooperation, play the people-oriented role in the construction of design and design education, promote the organic integration of design and life, pay attention to the comprehensive integration of design and life. This provides the beneficial reference for our country design education.
