By adopting the Internet and smart terminal technologies, a chronic eye disease management information system was developed to realize self-management and doctor-patient interaction for chronic eye diseases. The system improves patient treatment experience, empowers the doctors with follow-up capbility, strengthens clinical research ability, and explores new model of chronic disease management. With the mobile Internet technology, the system uses an innovative care model, and has the potential to effectively manage the long-term treatment process of patients, establish the interaction between doctors and patients, and facilitates follow-up and treatment protocol adjustment. Innovative application of the mobile Internet technology in chronic eye disease management can optimize the allocation of specialty medical resources and promote tiered medical service system.
